Scot, the H.G. Wells of eCommerce, wrote in 2005 the authoritative works on strategies that help online retailers succeed on eBay. And not a week goes by without an eBay seller asking him for how these strategies should be tailored to his or her business, or better yet, “just update the book on a quarterly basis”.
First, the bad news for fans: There won’t be a sequel any time soon. Scot’s blog and his frequent participation in eCommerce message boards are and will remain the best ways to stay in tune with what eBay (and its ecosystem) is up to, and what it means for online merchants.
The good news is that Scot has volunteered to hold a “what if I could do it all over again” webinar based on his book. Join him on March 14, 2007 at 2:00pm EST to learn about
- How well the old strategies are holding up for current sellers.
- New eBay features that require fresh strategies to fuel your rise to the top, including information on the buyer experience and feedback on 2.0.
- Where are they now? Get a progress report on the companies featured in the 2005 book. What contributed to their success? What about their downfalls?
- Updates on the best practices presented in the book.
- The changing face of eBay and what this means for sellers.
- Current eBay trends and future predictions to help you stay on the competitive edge.
